What We Are

remit.ae is an independent comparison platform for international money transfers from the UAE. We do not transfer money, hold funds, or act as a financial institution.

Information We Collect

Affiliate Click Data

When you click an affiliate or provider link on remit.ae, we record:

• Provider slug (which provider link was clicked)
• Corridor slug (which transfer route, if applicable)
• Source page (which page you were on)
• A SHA-256 hash of your IP address — not the raw IP
• A SHA-256 hash of your user agent string — not the raw user agent
• An opaque session token if provided by your browser
• Timestamp of the click

Raw IP addresses and raw user agent strings are never stored. Hashed values cannot be used to re-identify you individually and are used only for click deduplication and anti-fraud analytics.

Usage Data

We may collect standard web server logs (page paths, referrer URLs, response codes) for operational purposes. These are not linked to identifiable individuals.

Cookies and Analytics

remit.ae may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. If third-party analytics tools are added, this policy will be updated. Currently, no cross-site tracking cookies are set.

How We Use Your Information

• To count and attribute affiliate clicks for commission tracking
• To detect and prevent fraudulent or bot-generated clicks
• To improve site performance and content based on aggregate usage patterns
• We do not use your data for advertising profiling
• We do not sell your data to third parties

Data Retention

Affiliate click records are retained for up to 24 months for commission reconciliation purposes. Hashed identifiers are retained alongside click records for anti-fraud auditing. Aggregate analytics data may be retained indefinitely in anonymised form.

Third-Party Providers

When you click through to a third-party provider (Wise, Remitly, etc.), their own privacy policy governs the data they collect. remit.ae is not responsible for third-party data practices.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data. To make a data request, contact us at: remit.ae/contact. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site grows. Material changes will be noted with an updated date above. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance.
